Assistive Technology at the Scottish Learning Festival 23-24 September 2009 SECC Glasgow

Keen to have a look at the latest assistive technology products? Why not pop along to the Scottish Learning Festival which is at the SECC on the 23rd and 24th of September?

It’s free to attend and online registration is open until Midday on Tuesday 22nd September, after that you can go along and register on the day at the SECC. If you don’t want to book seminars, you can register to attend the exhibition only.

The large exhibition space will feature a huge range of educational suppliers, including leading suppliers of assistive technology. Some highlights include:

AlphaSmart: check out the latest Neo wireless notetakers and see for the first time, their new Text2Speech system.

Concept Northern: find out about a wide range of assistive technology, if you’re interested in portable digital magnifiers, ask about the new Optelec FarView.

Inclusive Technology: This year Inclusive will be launching the latest version of Co:Writer – a tool to assist with language and literacy. Co:Writer 6 has many exciting new features including a much simplified interface, a new text to speech engine and new spell checking facility.

Sight and Sound: Get the latest news on products for students who are blind or who have low vision, such as JAWS, Zoomtext, Kurzweil 1000 and the KNFB Reader Mobile.
