Communication Matters Road Show visits Scotland December 2009

Communication Matters is a UK-wide organisation of members concerned with the augmentative and alternative (AAC) needs of people with complex communication needs.

The Communication Matters Road Show is a FREE event, which presents a valuable opportunity to learn about communication aid technology. A number of the UK’s leading suppliers of adaptive devices, voice output communication aids and signing systems will demonstrate and provide ‘mini-master classes’ on their latest products and services. There will be opportunities for questions and hands-on trials of systems, and lots of valuable handouts and literature to pick up.

Each Road Show has a full day’s programme – delegates attend five workshop sessions featuring presentations on new developments and product demonstrations. The Road Show is for:

  • People new to the field of Augmentative and Alternative Communication and voice output technology
  • Professionals specialising in this field who want to update their knowledge
  • Everyone with an interest in communication technology
  • Anyone who works with children or adults with severe speech, language or communication difficulties and are in need of some support with communication

This year, the Road Show will visit the following venues:

1st December, Edinburgh
Murrayfield Stadium, Roseburn Street, Edinburgh EH12 5PJ

2nd December, Aberdeen
Aberdeen Football Club, Pittodrie Stadium, Pittodrie Street, Aberdeen AB24 5QH
